Nature and Science News Feeds
Science News feeds from various media outlets keeps me up-to-date on the latest ideas and scientific findings. Everyday there is something new. All of the sites below provide RSS feeds.
What are RSS feeds? There several explanations for the RSS abbreviation. I like "Really Simple Syndication". In essence, computer code is sent to your computer or online feed which delivers up-to-date information from your favorite websites. Connecting-with-Nature.net has an RSS feed.
GoogleReader is a free easy online feed reader.
Your computer may already have a built in feed. Go to your browser program and in the search book search for "RSS" or "feed". As you browse a website, check the url address box and look for a orange square with two curved lines. Or look to the left of this page in the box with 'xml/rss". This tells you a feed is available. Click on the orange box and follow your browser instructions. If you haven't tried RSS, give it a try. It isn't difficult.
