The site focuses on studying nature close to home instead exotic locales thousands of miles away from where we actually live. In writing the site, I strive to include the types of information nature journalists need and use. In focusing on studying nature close to home, Connecting with Nature provides extensive information on creating a backyard habitat as a convenient place to observe the cycle the seasons and know and understand the lands we live in. Connecting-with-Nature.net supports program's such as National Wildlife Federation's "Backyard Habitat Program" and the National Audubon Society's Audubon At Home Programs.
